  • Mandatory exercises are an integral part of the lesson plans and are attended by all students.
  • Mandatory exercises are not required; there is no pressure to perform well and there are no tightly structured curricula.
  • Participation is indicated on certificates with the notation „partaken of“.
  • The mandatory exercises are fixed in the timetable.

What mandatory exercises are there with us?

Non-binding exercises

Informal exercises – Our motto: Promoting diversity!

Here you will find some important information about the non-binding exercises offered at our school.

What are non-binding exercises?

  • Non-binding activities offer the opportunity to develop personal interests and talents beyond the scope of regular lessons.
  • The offers cover everything from creative, linguistic and sporting activities to first aid training.
  • Students choose their offer freely for one school year and thereby commit to regular participation.
  • Especially in the 3rd and 4th grades, non-binding exercises can help students discover their own strengths and develop perspectives for their future educational path.
  • Which offers take place depends on the interests of the students and the respective focuses of the teachers.

How are non-binding exercises scored?
Informal exercises are not required; there is no pressure to perform well and there are no tightly defined curricula.

  • SchUG § 18 (13): Unbinding exercises are not to be judged.
  • SchUG § 22 (3): The annual certificate must include a note of participation for non-binding exercises.„participated“ provided for.

How are non-binding exercises integrated into the school routine?

  • The non-binding exercises are planned as early as the beginning of the year if possible, and the dates will be announced. Some exercises are grouped together on a few limited dates when this is pedagogically and content-wise appropriate. Another strength of the non-binding exercises lies in their cross-class organization. Organizationally, the principle applies: The scheduling and determination is designed to be the best possible solution for the students.
  • For a non-binding practice session, a minimum number of students is required. However, the Praxis School strives to keep all doors open to all diversity.
