Our school attaches great importance to offering children and young people as many individual learning successes and development opportunities as possible. It is important to us to build on the strengths of each individual and to provide learners with the best possible and best varied support through a culture that allows them to make mistakes. We understand support as a promotion of skills that not only relates to subject-related content, but also puts the stress on the promotion of interests and preparation for further educational paths.

This happens

  • in daily lessons, e.g. through team teaching and integration/inclusion or the use of support teachers.
  • through our wide range of non-binding offers: More info here
  • through common strategies for differentiating and supporting pupils at all school levels through separate remedial lessons in German, English and maths.
  • by increasing the methodological and social skills of our students, for example on a yearly Methodology Day, but also through our methodology curriculum itself.
  • by focusing on reading and by gradually promoting the reading skills of the children and young people at our school in all subjects.
  • through our school library, seen as a “treasure trove” for research, deepening knowledge and promoting interests
  • by promoting ecological and health awareness in daily school activities as well as special initiatives and campaigns, e.g. on Ecology Day, through the healthy school snack on Tuesdays, on hiking days, on nature experience days, during sports weeks, etc.
  • durch Berufsorientierungswochen und Berufsberatung, die den Jugendlichen der Abschlussklassen helfen, die richtige Entscheidung für ihre Zukunft nach der Praxisschule zu treffen
  • by creating cultural awareness through projects at the start of school and also during the everyday school life, by means of excursions (e.g. visits to exhibitions) and project weeks in other cities (e.g. Vienna Week) or even other countries (e.g. Great Britain)
